Sunday the 18th of May 2007  Bella will celebrate her tenth birthday. It has been 10 great years whit this, in all ways, great girl.
She has shown us all the qualities a Bouvier contains. She is lovely, caring and outgoing.

Bella and her “little brother” the Papillon  “Bamse” taking a nap.

She is retired now, but in the past 10 years, we have tried a lot of different things.

We have visited the show ring, and she is build correct and is overall a really nice Bouvier, but being larger than most males, makes her the looser each time. So no success in the show ring.

We started out with obedience in 1997, and in 2001, we participated in a club competition and became second in LP1.

In 1999 we started training agility as well. And this is absolutely Bella’s favourite sport. We have competed once in 2000 were we got our first - and only - certificate
(you need 3 to go to the next class).

Bella is fantastic with children, we have been part of The Danish Kennel Klub  team that teach school children how to behave among dogs. She is also large enough to pull a little carriage, which is most appreciated among the family children, it is much more fun - to walk the dog - riding in the carriage.

Old dogs, like old shoes, are comfortable. They might be a bit out of shape and a little worn around the edges, but they fit well." - Bonnie Wilcox 'Old Dogs, Old Friends'

"The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's." - Mark Twain, Letter to W D Howells, 4/2/1899
